Always telling me stuff

Here I am, going to get a hair cut.

I'm not sure why, my hair seems fine in these pictures.

Maybe there was something wrong with the back.

The woman who cut my hair (Cat) told me (repeatedly) that I was not alowed to cut my own hair again.

That's a lot easier said than done.

It much easier to do a crappy job than it is to shell out the $7 and try and explain that I want it shorter but not so short that you can tell that I'm balding and that I need the haircut to be semi-professional but that I want it a little messy, because I'm not going to comb it or wash it with any regularity.

A day of many things

This is Barack Obama('s van). I had not seen speak earlier this morning, because there were no more tickets, I think this reflects well on Roseburg.

All of the other people at the stoplight honked their horn's as he drove by. It was quite adorable.

I tried to get a haircut at the beauty college, however I had lost my wallet earlier and had driven to Megan's on the off chance that I had left it there. As I was leaving my apartment; I realized that the get gas light had come on in my car. I briefly thought "I should get gas, but, I don't want to miss Megan, because she is leaving for the beach, oh wait, I don't have a wallet..." The wallet was not there. I went back to my apartment and found the wallet under the laundry I had done earlier that day. But, the point is...because I lost the wallet and ran around town searching for it, I ended up at the beauty college 15 minutes after closing.

While I know that I (among other people) have said that I should not cut my own hair...

How else am I supposed to get better at it, unless I practice.

It is quite short now, but that's ok, it's also quite hot out.

I tried to go out and buy a kiddie-pool. I unfortunately tried to do this at Wal-Mart. Instead of finding a sweet pool at a rock-bottom price, I got confused and irritated so I left, sans kiddie-pool.

Scotty hit her in the head with his pool cue, so we left and had a barbecue.

Are you into wood?

This is the belt buckle I got at the coast. I tried to take a picture when I got it, but that picture, much like this one, didn't come out so well.

The buckle is made out of some strange wood encased in resin. When I got the buckle I had looked at another buckle made of wood and the sales person asked me; "So are you into wood?".

Was this a pick up line? I wasn't sure how to respond so I just ignored it and later made jokes about my wood, your wood, my wood collection, powerful wood, etc.

This weekend was chicken fest 2008, I so wish I could have gone.

This man had a totally sweet beard. I guess I should have rolled the window down, oh well.

After doing my taxes (which I'm mad as hell about, stupid Oregon) I was pleased to find cupcakes in the kitchen at work. I'm not sure why they were there or who they were for, but that made them that much tastier to eat.

Steve was sad, so he cut off all his hair.

We went to the Death Metal bar and drank $1 beers. Said beer was kind of gross.

Creative facial hair

Here I am; looking slightly more disheveled than usual.

So, I went to get a haircut at the Roseburg Beauty College. Now that I've been there a few times, it's become harder to make conversation as I already know the answers to my asinine questions. Plus; they are all stylists in training, and you wouldn't want to throw off their concentration.

I think I like this one is better than the last one I got.

It was later pointed out that my stylist (stylist in training?) forgot to cut or chose to leave my sideburns. Maybe I'll make sideburns my thing, then people can say "oh, you know Gabe, he's that guy with those sweet sideburns."

If not sideburns, I'm thinking maybe some other form of creative facial hair, say a really intense mustache.

Maybe I should just cut my own hair

I got this haircut the other day at Roseburg Beauty College. I have decided that my new haircut makes me look like a stupid little kid.

Practically invisible

This is a camo John Deer shirt. I really wanted it but they only had it in size X-X-X large.

I went to Roseburg Beauty School to get my hair cut. The woman pictured here was very gingerly attending to her fake head.

I really didn't want to end up getting my hair cut by the same person who cut this guys hair.

Oddly, the first picture I took after getting my hair cut is me wearing a hat. Anyway, my stylist did a good job, though she asked too many questions and I didn't feel comfortable telling her to "mess it up a little". All things considered it was a pretty good deal at $7.00. Although...I don't think I've actually paid for a hair cut in the last 10 years...so I guess that makes it a pretty awful deal.

We had prison labor helping set up for the Summer Arts Festival at work. You can kind of make out their striped suits.

I really didn't think that anyone even made prisoners wear striped suits anymore. It makes me think about the Beagle Boys and wonder why they don't have balls and chains attached to their ankles.

Here is the new haircut. It's not dissimilar to my old haircut, just 700% more expensive.

How to cut your own hair (a tutorial)

There is some back story necessary for this post. On Sunday or possibly Monday (ok, that part isn't important to the story) I decided I needed a haircut because 1. my hair looked bad 2. I had a court date, and I think your supposed to look professional or something at such appointments, and 3. Valentines day was approaching and how are you supposed to impress the lady's if you look like a hobo. Anyway, I cut it myself and did a stunningly bad job. The following day Maggie did some damage control, mostly fixing the back. I was no longer embarrassed to go into public, but it was a far cry from a good haircut. Two days later I got Gwenyth to cut it, she did a great job and I am quite happy.

How can I be so adorable in this picture, it baffles even me. Gwenyth forbid me from cutting it myself again.

I don't know what this is supposed to be. It looks alot like my breakfast table though.

These are some Valentines candies I was given.

Over the course of the month that I've been here my apartment has gone from clean and charming to bachelor pad to hell whole.

Adam was supposed to do dramatic reading at an anti-valentines event. This is supposed to be a picture of cookies with those chalkie heart candies attached to them. I ate many of these cookies and called it dinner.

This is some punch made from sherbet and Sprite, it was brown instead of rainbow colored. I drank many glasses, Adam declared that it looked disgusting and then he left, sans dramatic reading.

I bought a book shelf for $5.00. I think it's probably worth about $2.00. But, it does have allot of character.

Wow!

This is while I was signing some powerful karaoke.

Some of the songs had been done so many times that the words on the screen were illegible. I don't exactly understand how or why this happened.

It didn't seem to matter though. Whoever was singing one of these songs already knew the words so it was fine.

In between "sets" the DJ played country and hip-hop songs.

I hope that over the course of this year I can create a competitive kareoke team.

I think if we really but our minds to it we could go to nationals.

Somewhere during my travels I bought a pair of scissors and have been cutting my own hair.
