In a time long ago

This was a long time ago.

When apes ruled the apartment.

Here is a kitchen implement that I set on fire.

Megan thought it was quite hilarious and reenacted the scene for me...repeatedly.

These are kind of like Oreos...but different and with sprinkles.

I don't see any blood, so it's probably not even worth mentioning.

Hard life in the country

I appear to be growing an extra chin. I blame America.

There is a man across the street in a bright red jump suit. I wonder if he is in a gang. Maybe HBO can make a special about Roseburgs gang problem.

This is a cookie shaped like Pac-man or maybe it's a football helmet. Really, it's an optical illusion (like the one with the face and the vase).

We are trying to get Emily acclimated to country living. At dinner we ate things that we had caught and later we all went to a barn dance.

There were two versions of this disturbing print.

This one included an oversize milk bottle. I can't say I completely understand.

I ate this sandwich. I kind of wish I hadn't.

Adams cookie came with more fortunes than he knew what to do with.

There's nothing funny about missing children

This will be the picture to put on the side of milk cartons when I go missing.

Maggie got this mixer (I think it was a belated wedding present). I am expecting some dank-ass cookies.

I've had a bike for one day and I have, surprisingly, already injured myself.

Onward and upward

In case you hadn't seen my fishing pole in the last picture.

Lupita made cookies for band practice. I especially like the one with no arm and a bite out of his head.

This is the hallway at work. Megan brought students over for career day, I got to tell them about what it's like to be an artist. They asked questions, for example; who is your favorite artist and what art medium is best.

This one is pretty cool, I'm not sure what it is though.

There was this guy at the bagel shop who I'm pretty sure was an older version of Blaine.

I apparently didn't manage to catch him on film. He was just too darn fast.

These are my new shoes. I ordered them from Pay-Less.

Me and David are growing mustaches for the Northwest Service Symposium.

We had gone through three band members already, and we hadn't even performed yet.

In the end it was Lupita, David & myself (Gabriel - I just realized that I don't think my name is actually anywhere on this website).

Around town nobody even mentioned the mustaches, I'm not sure if this is a mark for or against Roseburg

This mustachioed man was about to go fishing for the first time.

I went to Cooper Creek Reservoir. There is a high mercury risk at Cooper Creek, but supposedly the reservoir/creek/?? has a lot of trouts.

I'm just confused by this one.

Those are some geese and their goose puppies.

This is one of the many scenic views to be found at Cooper Creek (pronounced Cooper Crick).

I did not catch any fish. I did however; catch a multitude of weeds, make a big tangly mess of my line, get stuck on some trees and bushes, loose three lures, and get the hook stuck in my shirt. One day I will find a hobby that doesn't make me bleed. Although, if it doesn't hurt, maybe it's not worth doing.

The geese and their goose puppies were still out when I left.

I wasn't too upset that I hadn't caught anything, I hadn't really anticipated catching anything. This was my day to learn the ropes/get my bearings/whatever.

This is the bear that was hanging on the side of the apartment next door. I can take new bets on how long it will remain in this spot, I bet forever.

Fort Fun

As you can see, we are off to a good start.


The truck in front of me had this giant cage I assume for transporting some very large, dangerous animal.

Perhaps a rabid unicorn.

I have been lagging, so these pictures are a little out of date, so I'm having difficulty remembering what this is a picture of.

Most likely, this is a picture of karaoke.

Probably of a country song.

Maybe sung moderately.

Or possibly, quite badly.

This is orange punch with star fruit in it. It was totally intense.

Strawberrie punch. Also quite intense.

Lemonade and various cookies. Less intense, but still tasty.

This is what happens when you consume too much punch, too shortly after waking up.

This was the opening for the student art show. I wore a tie, mostly because my boss told me not to.

This is a fort. As everyone knows, Oregon is filled with forts.

Because it's so hard to imagine that anything could have been fun 100 years ago.

We saw some teenagers rolling each other down the hill inside of a large garbage can.

I think this might be an eclipse.

This is a pretty good one even if I have no idea of what, where, how it was taken or why I took it.
