I'm picking out a thermos for you

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is my new thermos. Can you believe I got it for $2.50?!

We had an opening for a show called Art about Agriculture. For the opening we served this delicious beverage containing NO natural ingredients.

Here I am pretending to sleep.

There was a going away party at work today. It's funny that we consume so many baked goods at work, I suppose it's funnier because there are only three people who work here.

I lost this grape about a week ago.

I'm sure glad I found it, that certainly could have been embarrassing.

Butter

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is the Mill Museum in Salem, Oregon. I was here with my boss for a conference on things relating to arts in education.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Did I mention that the class I teach is four hours long and goes from 6-10 pm and that I had to be out the door at 7 this morning to drive 2 hours to this conference thing.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Not that I'm complaining about my 3+ jobs, it just makes me a little tired.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is a giant tub of butter balls I got from work.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I don't think I will be running out of butter any time soon.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
On the down side; it means I can't use my butter dish, which I really like.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
These are A&W root beer float sodas. Not surprisingly; it was gross and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unless, by chance, that person liked the taste of carbonated butter.

In search of lost bedding

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I think in order to have a good blog you should refer to Marcel Proust at LEAST once a month.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I tried to put my, repaired, blinds back up and managed to crack the window frame.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I blame dry-rot, and the government.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Did I mention that the state of Oregon is F'ing me in the A on my taxes?
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I was looking for new bedding and was having difficulty deciding between these pink, sateen, Playboy sheets.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Or these copper ones.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Or these with tiger prints.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Or these ones with race cars.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Or maybe these gold ones, again sateen. I hear "chicks dig" sateen, and are more likely to have sex with you if play up the fact that you're a sleaze-ball.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Ultimately, I got these "urban looking" sheets.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
They may not be sateen, but I won't have to worry about accidentally slipping out of my bed while I'm sleeping.

So Sad

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is a chile relleno from the cute new Mexican restaurant downtown. Keeping all those things in mind; they will most likely be out of business in a month or so.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Those crazy kids.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I went to sears to look for a new mattress, not that I would have been able to afford one. Sears didn't have any mattresses anyway. So, I decided I needed some new jeans. They didn't have my size in the color I wanted.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This was the color I did want. I think these ones just looked slightly darker.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is my hand bleeding. Somehow every time I go to a department store I end up injureing myself...
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I thought that looking at festive kitchenware might make me less sad. Here are some festive plates. One might even say that it was a fiesta of plates. That made me feel slightly better.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Until I came to theese beds. Actually they were just selling bedding. I sat down on the bed and it felt so good, not like my stupid futon from hell. I got very sad and wanted to go to take a nap. Then a sales person asked if I needed help, at which point I ran away.

Princess and the pea

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My bed, or more accurately my used-Wal-mart-futon-couch, has been giving me terrible back pain.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I removed the 10+ layers of stuff/padding in between the sheets and the mattress.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is the pile of:
1 futon cover, 1 futon cover from a different futon, 3 mattress pads, 2 flat sheets, some scraps of fabric that at one time acted as curtains, 1 sleeping bag, 2 disaster blankets and 1 foam pad thing.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I also tried to fluff the futon up a little.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Because the previous owners of the futon were hippies of some sort; every time I wash or reposition the inner layers of my bed system, the faint stench of patchouli fills my apartment.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
When I was done; the bed at least looked more comfortable.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
When I got up the next morning the crippling back pain had just moved to a new section of my back.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I have now moved the pile-of-bed off of it's bed frame and onto the floor. The thought being that maybe it was the frame that injured me.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Well, the pain is slightly less. And again has moved to a new section of my back.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The first thing I'm going to do when I get an actual job is buy a new bed.
