So much injury, so little time

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Today for barbecue breakfast I am having pumpkin pancakes.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I don't actually know what this picture is trying to illustrate. That I have a system for lighting coals? That I am going to barbecue pancakes? That the newspaper I use, to start the fire produces a bad smelling oddly colored smoke?
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is the spooky fairy troll that replaced Bacchus in the garden.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Too much butter? Too much batter?
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
The first one always comes out a little funny. It worked out though, I just snacked on it while I made more, attractive, pancakes.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This one looks better...right?
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
What would breakfast be if I didn't injure myself?
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I hate that stupid cat.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
In the end; another lovely barbecue breakfast (at 11:45).
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Here is what happens if you accidentally lock your cat in the closet.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
This is a ceramic cat that I have filled with plaster and will attempt to make a belt buckle out of.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Here is the buckle I will attach the cat to.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
My second injury of the day.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Drilling a ceramic cat is harder than I would have thought. I didn't think there was supposed to be smoke.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
One bit down. Four holes to go.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Number three. Or is it four since I think I got more than on cut during my last incident.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I wonder if the plaster is any part of the problem.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I believe that metal and plaster dust help promote faster healing.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Two bits, four (or more) injuries and still working on the first hole in that cat.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Not having much luck with the cat; I move on to a different buckle project.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I decided that if I plan to injure myself so much; I should at least have decent bandages.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I have nothing to say about this "Volcano Chicken" (maybe it was called something different, but, that's not the point). They were playing Jane's Addiction and it made me happy and I just wanted to remember that moment.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Now you can do a christening in your very own living room.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Maybe this person has one arm that is considerably larger than the other.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
So I found this player piano. I'm pretty sure I need it.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
It's pedal powered, so I made the owner of the shop pedal it for me
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
Not just an elk horn or a rattle snake, but a rattle snake encased in acrylic on an elk horn belt buckle.

As picnics are the hot thing to do in Roseburg; I have been on the lookout for a sweet picnic basket.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
I don't know which part of this that I think is the most interesting: the bomb-esque packaging? The wrapping of random books to look like bombs and selling them for $2? The wrapping of random books to look like bombs, posting a sign forbidding the handling or inspecting the mysterious packages, selling these mysterious packages at $2 a pop and labeling them "Christian Romance" (do these books revolve around the period where Jesus roamed the countryside as a gigolo).

Long weekend

I was trying to take a picture of a giant cave man. The cave man was too far of a walk, so I took a picture of this sign instead.

These are some saucy young ladies I found in Cave Junction, Oregon.

This is outside the Oregon Caves. Inside the cave there were; fossils, roots, old tyme graffiti, albino bugs, dark places, bats, bears, cold, and reverberation.

Regina kind of looks like a duck in this picture.

Caves are neat. This is not a picture of a cave, it is a picture of a waterfall.

We all went to a pizza place. Pizza toppings were decided with great difficulty. The pizza place had a player piano, we listened to a rousing version of Take Me Home Country Roads. A side note* I really need a player piano, if you have one I will trade you both of my organs for it. In the bathroom was this painting of a duck with a rainbow landing on it's back. The rainbow continued off of the canvas and onto the wall...awesome.

I may have mentioned that kids, who live in the building next to ours, have been throwing toys out their windows. This bear attached to a wire has been hanging on the side of the building for several weeks now. I am taking bets as to how long it will stay there, I'm betting three months.

My friend Laura came to visit from New York. You may remember Laura from such posts as The Web of Lies Begins, and I hate Indiana.
We were driving to Ashland, Oregon and another car merged me off the road, resulting in our car spinning almost 180 degrees. Laura thinks it's a message from the universe, I think it has to do with magnets.

I really wanted to get out of the car and take a picture of it on the freeway, facing the wrong way. Since that seemed like a pretty bad idea, here is a picture of of Laura, the car, and something we are pretty sure did NOT fall off of the car.

During the spin we caught a butterfly in the grill. I think it will bring good luck, so I'm going to leave it there.

This is a spooky stuffed bear we saw in Ashland during The Taste of Ashland. Ashland is an extremely picturesque town, and I recommend visiting, assuming you like things that are picturesque.

This is Laura next to a portrait of a squirrel.

This is a picturesque house/gallery/restaurant/park/stream.

Apparently someone did not want there commemorative glasses. People who are regulars to the wine and food tasting circuit have special fashion accessory's for dangling wine glasses around there necks, and funny plates with built in wine glass rests. All of these accouterments are about as stylish as a fanny pack or a beer hat.

Ashland is the home of some sort of Shakespeare festival. These are some racy costumes.

At rest area on the way back we saw a singing motorcycle gang.

This is a sign for an event called "Bananas for Jesus".

This is a scenic byway to the beach.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
This is a special area filled with elk. One of them chased us.

Although it's hard to tell, this is a picture of a wide river.

We stopped for lunch in Reeds Port. This isa restaurant that WAS open but, had all of it's windows blacked out for some reason.

These are breads shaped like turtles. We had sandwiches, our waitress was a little green and seemed confused by pretty much everything. The sandwiches unfortunately did NOT come on turtle shaped bread.

They had the most amazing cupcakes. I wanted all of them but, I could only afford the orange one. The woman working the counter saw my camera and asked if it was "costy".

The scenic path to the beach and sand dunes.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Laura got us stuck in the sand.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
The ocean was scenic, yet cold.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
We found a family of trolls living in this cave.

This is a rock with a tree growing out of it, or maybe a tree with a rock growing out of it.

This lagoon was filled with booby traps, possibly for catching hobos, or maybe pirates, or possibly hobo-pirates.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
These are some very small ducks.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
An X marking a spot of some sort. I think there may have been hobo-pirate gold underneath.
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
A warning to hobo-pirates.

In the distance you can see the Oregon Pyramids.

We stopped at an innocuous looking coffee shop. On closer inspection we found that all of the patrons were reading bibles. It turned out to be a coffee shop/Christian reading room.
