Emily, Lexington, Stephen and I traveled north to Portland. (please pardon the lack of Lexington and myself in this picture)

We had made an agreement that we would each bring a CD for the car ride and that nobody could complain about the music (except me, because I am the driver and the driver has absolute power).

So we heard not a peep during my hour and a half mix CD of electrocrass.

We stopped at Pioneer Villa for lunch. Everyone was quite disappointed.

In Portland we went to Powell's Books. Powell's is too big so I had an anxiety attack and made us leave.

We went to Montage for dinner. Judging by the hordes of dressed up teenagers, I will venture a guess that it was prom night.

Our waitress made various tinfoil animals out of our leftovers.

Emily's was a whale. I think she won.

I will note that none of us had any plans to eat said leftovers, we just wanted our food wrapped into festive tinfoil animals.

Mary came out, briefly. I was very sad to see her go, she is doing some traveling and who knows when we will meet again.

When she does come back we have plans to start a gallery in Tivoli Village (the cutest town ever, if you didn't know).

At some bar; dancing was done to the stylings of a James Brown cover band.

Ping-pong, pool and foosball were played in a strangers basement.

Lexington and I were abandoned in said rec-room. We found our way home, sans travel companions.

The next morning we all went to The Screen Door, or possibly The Back Porch (or some similarly named restaurant) for brunch.

We waited half an hour for a table.

While we waited we sat in the spring time sun drinking coffee.

We sat at a table outside. Some parties had Bloody Marys, some had mimosas, I had coffee.

I had some sort of Mexican themed breakfast with eggs and beans and tortillas and salsa and some other stuff.

I don't know if you have picked up on how happy this breakfast made me.

The drive back to the Burg was long and tired.
Keeping with the vocabulary theme, I will now go through some of the words that I dislike, and thus, you should make a point to discontinue thier use as soon as possible.
Gig: both in reference to a gigabyte and to a show you are going to play.
Pudding: Part of this may just be that I think pudding is gross
Panties: That's not sexy
Grilling (even worse is: grilling out): Please just say that you will be barbecuing. I will note that I do NOT dislike the word grill as in "I will bust yo' grill".
Gloop and Glop: can't we find a better word for mysterious sauces?
Chill: If there is one thing that should get you beat up; it's telling someone to "chill".
Soft-serve: I see a pattern with soft foods
I was reading about Phineas Gage and I came across these great new words. I can't wait to incorporate them into my vocabulary.
braggadocio: A boastful character
vainglorious: Characterized by or exhibiting excessive vanity
I was also looking at A Classical Dictionary of a Vulgar Tongue by Francis Grose, 1931. Where I also found some good words. The only problem being that many of the words are defined using other words that I have never heard and that are not defined.
Here are a few other ones I plan to use.
Cut: Drunk
A little cut over the head: slightly intoxicated.
To cut up well: To die rich
Sees: The eyes

These are the days of catharsis.

As you may, or may not, have gathered, I own too much stuff.

Who the hell actually needs two organs?

A drafting table and another desk, just for piling stuff on.

10+ boxes of wire, broken electronics, scraps of this, scraps of that.

And even if you did need all of this detritus...

Does one really need to store it in their already claustrophobic one bedroom apartment?

I decided that I couldn't take it anymore.

I needed to get rid of as much as I could.

I threw away as much as I could. 1 desk, 1 organ, many boxes that if one were moving might be labeled "etc." and various things that one holds onto because; "one day I might really need that cell phone charger from that phone I lost 12 years ago".

What I couldn't part with; I moved into my car.

Here is my car filled with: cassette tapes, three laptops, boxes of wire, a record player, my fishing equipment, extra bedding and whatever else I thought I might need someday.

All this packing and the disebarrassment of my excess baggage made me, briefly, contemplate skipping town

Anyway. I moved the Celebrity from it's parking space, of 4 months, to the front of the Cozy/Kozy Apartments for easier loading.

When I went to re-park the Celebrity in it's original parking space; I found that someone else had parked in it's spot.

Later, once the other car had moved, I tried to park my mobile storage unit in it's proper parking place; the car wouldn't start. Now my, dead(ish), car filled with all of my excess crap is parked, very much, out in the open.

Maybe I should actually lock the doors.
