Maybe I should just cut my own hair
I got this haircut the other day at Roseburg Beauty College. I have decided that my new haircut makes me look like a stupid little kid.

Maybe you can see the future

Did I mention my life is hard?
This is my car. It hasn't started in more than a month.
I think it's an electrical problem.
I bought some jumper cables.
This scented tree was titled "Freedom". Ben & I wondered what freedom smelled like.
I managed to get the car started with the jumper cables. I took the cables off and parked the other car. When I came back, my car had stopped running and now wont even make the wheezing-trying-to-start noise l. I probably need a new battery. The thing is; batteries are like a hundred bucks and gas is $3 right now, so it looks like my car will be sitting there dead for a little while longer.

Working for the man
These pictures are extremely out of date.
My New Years resolution will be; to put my life back in chronological order.
However, maybe life is more exciting when there is no such thing as past, present and future.
This is my health insurance card. It's a do-it-yourself operation.
Me and David were hired to direct traffic at this luncheon/fund raiser/mixer/fair/I'm not sure what it was.
Here I am waiting for the upper-echelon of Roseburg to arrive.
I didn't realize there were so many fancy cars in Roseburg.
Here are some fancy people eating and drinking fancy things.
In this picture I am working, have a handful of truffles and a beer...did I mention I was working?
David was also working while eating truffles and drinking beer.
These kids were taking their jobs directing traffic very seriously. Did I mention I had truffles and beer?
This teenager taught me some new slang; "Chilaxs".

Ahoy me matey
This is the new KFC/Long John Silver restaurant complex. A few months back they tore down the old KFC. I assume they tore it down so they could install these classy new lights (the blue thing in the lower-left of the photo). Now it looks more like a Starbucks where you can get fried chicken and fish.
We had been talking about coming to LJS for weeks now. I was told that they had a product called the White Whale; a delicacy containing Pollock and Whale meat. Also supposedly on the menu was a crab cake that contained lobster instead of crab, we assumed this would also be made out of Pollock. Neither product was to be found.
We were all slightly disappointed and felt a little ill after our adventures in the world of fried fish and shrimp. Ben and Lee Ann's meals both came with hush puppies, I was pretty disappointed that my meal had not..until I tasted one.
The Fall leaves have been changing colors. This is a picture of some autumn foliage.
Who knew we even got seasons in Oregon?

Technophobic
Because I go through so many batteries, I decided to invest in rechargeable batteries.
They are working marginally well.
This supposed to be a picture of the street cleaner behind me. It was cleaning the middle of the street. Who knew the middle of the road could get so dirty?
Here is an ad on My Awesome Camera for "Customer Complaints"?! I didn't realize that complaints were a product one could purchase. It looks like the other advertisement is for the Nordic Track.

The road to recovery
I recently went to the doctor. As it turns out, I have, apparently, been depressed since 1995. Who knew? Anyway, I went on antidepressants. It has been about three weeks since I started, so I guess they have taken effect. While I have noticed that I have had less trouble concentrating and have not been depressed about my service here in the Siberia of the Pacific Northwest. I have also found myself less interested in complaining about it, and as some of you may know, I really like complaining about things and passing them off as observations. This has all led to my most recent blog entries being (I think) considerably less funny, insightful or interesting. I have decided that mind-bending drugs are not the thing for me, and that I like my angst the way it was. So, until I get my depression levels back on track, I will be posting with slightly less frequency. This is also unfortunate, since I was so close to being current with my postings...oh well, it's for the greater good.
I sincerely apologize if this was more information about me than you really wanted, I just thought I needed to explain.
Heart,
Gabe
