Vacation

I am on vacation now.

The sky is quite hazy. I wonder if it's the End of Days again. Which sucks because; I'm on vacation.

This is the spot where they are building a Wallgreens. I'm excited because that means I have a source for awsomecams in walking distance.

Is the book called "The Half Breed" or "Wanted! The Half Breed"?

Today I spent my last food stamp dollar. It was a good run while it lasted. I'm proud to say that tax dollars fed me over the past 18 months.

I put my blinds back up. They can't really be adjusted and actually if you touch them they just fall down.

I tried to take a picture of this strange green bug. Obviously, I had little success.

End of Days.

I'm not sure how to comment on this one.

I found these sweet shoes at Ross. Looking back now, I am very tempted to go back and get them.

While the appending of "aholic" wasn't ever that funny. I like that this company is trying to revive the craze 20 years later. Maybe doing it now makes it ironic... I wonder if they will start making Le Bags again.

This is a cupcake cake! Take note, this is what I MUST have for my birthday.

If they have little hamburgers and hot dogs that is an added bonus.

The (shelf) stable one

This post seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle. It makes some important points, so I am inserting it here.

Anyway, this is less than one glass of lemonade that has been in the work refrigerator for over a month now. I would get rid of it but, what if it belongs to someone?

This egg has been there about the same amount of time.

These are just observations, I am not a fridge monitor, just a fridge noticer.

I have been trying to get a picture of this truck for months.

I like to think that it reads "Jesasaurus" and that it's a monster truck or at least a demolition derby truck that destroys other cars with the powers of Jesus and dinosaurs.

This is the official notice that my "special food credit card" will be discontinued at the end of June.

Since, I'm not sure what this is, I will go on about food stamps: I did think about making phony pay stubs and attempting to defraud the federal government for continued food assistance, but when I thought about it a little more...it seemed like it could be a potentially poor idea.

Maybe this is when Lexie and I became pool sharks...maybe it's when I realized that other peoples taxes weren't going to pay for my groceries anymore...

Something has happened to all of the grapefruits. I know I have already complained about this. Whatever. The current grapefruit crops are wicked awful and I am mad as hell.

I case you were confused; this is the "Mad as Hell" look.

After the industrial revolution

This is belt buckle I am making for Ben. It involves his expired EBT card. p.s. don't tell Ben, it's a surprise.

I've got myself a real cottage industry going here.

Or possibly a very small plastic zoo.

It's Halloween

I have started making my own belt buckles. This one has an alligator on it.

In case you couldn't tell, I am dressed as Steve Irwin that Crocodile Hunter guy.

This is a scary movie about an evil bong.

I won a bet with Lee Ann, so she had to get me a pumpkin. I tried to get the biggest one I could find. I think this one weighed 75 pounds.

We were going to go to Eugene for a corn maze but, much to our surprise, there was one right here in town.

And it was free.

Maybe "maze" was a bit of an over statement. They probably should have called it a corn path.

There weren't actually any dead ends, and if you count the holes people had made in the sides of the maze, you might say it had multiple exits

We found a couple more pumpkins in the pumpkin patch.

Luckily you can buy pumpkins with food stamps.

We carved the pumkins in the front yard.

While drinking beer.

At some point; my neighbors came out with rubber gloves and a large pelt.

Color me confused.

They proceeded to scrape at it with spoons. And somehow produced a very bad smell.

It was quite adorable.

A vampire pumpkin, that was later stolen by my neighbors.

A can of pickled plums that had been given to Maggie and then were re-given to me. If you have a recipie that involves pickled plums; please let me know.

Lee Anns pumpkin was quite elaborate.

It involved both glasses and a mustache.
