Pale and emaciated

Maybe I just wanted you to see my favorite mug.

I have been searching for a clear green visor ever since I first watched The Man Who Fell to Earth. That was also when David Bowie taught me that it was ok to be pale an emaciated.

Someone keeps messing with my mail box. I blame teenagers.

Nudity and bodily fluids

This is a car accident involving some teenagers.

This is the T.B.A. festival. We had come in search of performance art involving nudity and bodily fluids.

Instead we found Mike Kelly's Day is Done video. While it did involve Satan telling dirty jokes, it did not include nudity or bodily fluids.

We got these festive licorice strings at a fancy deli.

Fun for the whole family.

This is a fake boom-box that will hold your I-pod. If anyone out in the world is spotted with one of these, they should probably get punched for how lame they are.

We went to a festive tapas bar.

Not to be confused with the festive topless bar we went to afterwords.

The food was quite tasty.

And small.

We saw our waiter check out and comment on the tip the next table over had given her. Her lack of tact was reflected in our tip.

We tried to go and see a movie. The only thing playing was a three hour long German film that had been described as "gripping".

We decided to play pinball instead.

Separate yet equal

I washed my car. My flip-flops got wet, so I left them outside in the sun while I ate lunch. I came back out and put them back on and they burned my feet. Sucks to be me.

I hope that Steve isn't upset that I only got one picture from the zine event for his work (I'm not sure if I am allowed to mention the name of his employer as I have noticed that he does not). Anyway, there was a reading of works by residents at ____ __ _____. The event took place in the ___ _____ in mid-August 2008. It was very hot. We helped set up multiple fans. It was still hot. It was good though. I am glad to see young people expressing themselves creatively.

This is the festive yet spooky window display at our local party supply store. I would have attached a link to a previous post about holiday window displays, however, that post is, mostly, depressing.

Camp Camp Camp!

Here is my car. It is filled with camp.

My tent seems to have grown some mold since it was last used.

Here, Megan poses with barbecue tools.

I unsuccessfully attempted to start a fire.

This is a giant slug. Our neighbor asked how I knew it wasn't a poop, I said because it was moving.

Here is a smaller, spotty one.

Our camping neighbor (who, coincidently, was also from Roseburg) explained that I was making the fire wrong.

I keep telling Megan not to turn the camera sideways.

Do I need to comment on every picture?

Can't we just enjoy the pictures without my asinine commentary once in a while?

This would make a fine inspirational poster.

This one is, slightly, less inspiring.

There were several beach parties going on within 20 feet of one another.

These are the Pentecostals. They had a crate filled with snakes in the back of their truck.

This young survivalist was digging a hole (a trench?). We made a point to keep our distance.

This is a Hispanic family. They seemed the most welcoming, so in the end we hung out with them.

These are some angry teenagers having a palette fire.
